Is Celtx supported?
Yes, Celtx is a fully supported client-server application. Users can have their questions answered by our support team in a number of ways:

Where can I submit bugs and other program irregularities?
You can submit your bugs in the Bug Report section on our forum.
We currently have an active base of users providing feedback on all our releases. We listen to all feedback and incorporate suggestions as often as is feasible.

How do I migrate from my existing tools to Celtx?
Celtx can import scripts generated by other script writing or word processing applications. For more information refer to our Celtx Wiki manual

Can I use Celtx for free?
Yes. Celtx is distributed under an open source license, so you can download it, use it, and distribute it for free.

An open source software company, Greyfirst uses open source-friendly business models, providing free, commercial-quality software products that include basic Web services offered at no charge, which at the option of users can be supplemented with subscription-based, advanced applications accessed through a server.

If you're giving Celtx away for free, how do you make money?
The free Celtx application (under an open source license) will be augmented by a variety of web services that we will sell.

What is open source?
Open source is a software licensing model where the developers of a given application release the source code (underlying code for an application) under a license that permits free distribution and modification. To find out more about open source, please see

What open source license does Celtx use?
Celtx uses the CePL, which is a derivative of Netscape's Mozilla Public License (MPL). To find out more about open source licenses, please see www.opensource.org.

How can I keep up to date on Celtx developments?
You have several options. Celtx provides automatic update notification. This feature notifies users whenever a new version of Celtx is released. You can also visit the Celtx Forum where we post all new content and news. Also be sure to check out the Celtx Blog where you can follow Celtx news and developments along with user stories and production news.

What Operating Systems does Celtx support?
Celtx supports the following platforms:

What languages are available?
Celtx is currently available in many languages with more in development on our wiki. If you would like to contribute to Celtx by translating the application into your language, please contact us at info@celtx.com or visit the wiki for more info.

What tools did you use to build Celtx?
We proudly use the Mozilla application framework and our own tool, Tadpole (developed using Javascript and XUL). For more information on Mozilla or Celtx project development, please see mozdev.org.
